Donald Vander Griend, PhD, is Associate Director of Shared Resources at the University of Illinois Cancer Center and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. His research is focused on the function of the human urogenital system in relation to various factors: stem cell maintenance and turnover, transcription factors regulating prostate homeostasis; and molecular events driving disease initiation and progression.
