Ron C. Gaba, MD, MS, is Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago, and he also practices in the Division of Interventional Radiology at UI Health. His research is focused on improving the prognosis of patients with liver malignancies through the use of novel biomedical models and targeted, image-guided locoregional therapies. He and fellow Cancer Center member Kejia Cai, PhD, are Principal Investigators on a $3.1 million National Cancer Institute (NCI) grant to investigate the ability of advanced endogenous molecular MRI imaging techniques to noninvasively provide insights into liver cancer tumor biology.
