Matías E. Sánchez, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. He practices in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UI Health, where he specializes in treating patients with different blood cancers who need stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. He is deeply intrigued by the complexities of multiple myeloma treatment strategies and the factors influencing patients’ responses, and he is particularly interested in exploring novel therapeutic approaches, elucidating mechanisms of drug resistance, and developing innovative methods for monitoring disease progression and treatment efficacy. His goal is to contribute to the development of personalized treatment regimens that optimize outcomes.
