Carlos Murga, Zamalloa, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. Also in the Department of Pathology at UI Health, he is a physician-scientist who specializes in the diagnosis and classification of hematological malignancies (hematopathology). His reasearch focuses on the biology of T-cell lymphoma, with a particular emphasis in the role of actin-related signaling during T-cell lymphoma motility, proliferation and chemotherapy resistance. The goal of his research is to discover novel biomarkers for aggressive phenotypes in T-cell lymphomas and to identify future therapeutic targets.
