Healio and HemOnc Today are seeking nominees for their second annual Disruptive Innovators Awards for oncology/hematology to be presented during the 2023 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago. The Health Equity Award – one of nine awards – is presented in partnership with the University of Illinois Cancer Center.
Cancer Center member Shikha Jain, MD, a UI Health medical oncologist, will cohost the awards ceremony. ASCO will be held June 2-6 and the event will be June 3.
The awards recognize “individuals who have changed the face of the specialty and pushed the status quo to toward betterment of the field,” according to Healio.
There are nine categories: Lifetime Disruptor, Next Gen Disruptor, Clinical Innovation, Woman Disruptor of the Year, Healio Social Media Influencer, The Patient Voice, Health Equity Award, Advanced Practitioner of the Year, and Industry Breakthrough. Nominations are being accepted for all categories.
