Three leading cancer researchers and a patient advocate shared their knowledge at the Tapas Das Gupta, MD, Cancer Research Symposium 2020 last week. Attendees of the event, titled “The Unequal Burden of Cancer: Have We Made Progress in the Two Decades Since the Institute of Medicine’s Report” learned about health and cancer equity in Boston; disparities in breast cancer screenings, treatment and outcomes; and the evolution of cancer equity.
