‘Spin for a Cause’ Supports Cancer Research

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you can “Spin for a Cause” by riding with University of Illinois Cancer Center Deputy Director VK Gadi, MD, PhD, to support cancer research.

Funds from the October 18 event will benefit research in women’s cancers studied at the Cancer Center, including hard to treat breast and ovarian cancers.

Drs. Gadi and Emily Darby will donate $1,000 for the first 10 participants who make donations of any amount and $2,000 after 30 donations of any amount are reached for a a total match of $3,000.

Spin for a Cause Details

The event will be held at Life Time, 1100 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook, Illinois. The event starts at 6 p.m. Non-members should email [email protected] to reserve a bike and arrive a few minutes early to sign a guest waiver.
