The University of Illinois Cancer Center is hosting the November Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium (CRC) Grand Rounds.
The November 14 event, “Innovations and Inequities: Advancing Cancer Research Through Clinical Trials and Biomarker Discovery,” will be held via Zoom and feature Cancer Center members Ryan Nguyen, DO, and Yu (Tom) Gao, PhD.
Their talks will describe the current state of enrollment in registration trials leading to FDA approvals and the use of biomarker discovery that provides insights into disease progression, drug resistance and prognosis. Nguyen is part of the Cancer Center’s Cancer Prevention and Control research program and Gao is part of the Translational Oncology research program.
