Patient Navigation and Community Outreach grants are available from the Illinois Department of Public Health through the “Carolyn Adams Ticket For The Cure” fund, which is supported by proceeds from a special Illinois Lottery scratch-off ticket where 100% of the net proceeds support breast cancer awareness, education and research in the state.
The deadline to apply for the grants is February 22. Adams, a former Illinois Lottery superintendent, died in 2007 of breast cancer.
Applicants may apply for up to $200,000 for the Patient Navigation grants and Community Outreach grants up to $40,000. The grants start March 1, 2024, and run through June 2025.
A virtual education session on applying for Patient Navigation Grants will be held Thursday, February 1, from 1 – 2 p.m. CST. Go here to attend.
