Rogers currently serves as an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Social Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and an MCW Cancer Center Research Scholar Endowed Chair. In addition to being the Founding Director of his Men’s Health Inequities Research Lab, he is also an Associate Member of the University of Michigan-Mixed Methods Program, and the past inaugural Associate Director for Community Outreach and Engagement at MCW’s Cancer Center. Rogers has established an extensive research program investigating the complex underpinnings of disparities in men’s health, with a primary focus on colorectal cancer awareness and prevention among African-American men for more than 10 years. His research foci also include cancer disparities, behavioral and community-based dissemination and implementation science, mixed methods, and survey methodology. His research has been published in top journals such as the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, JCO Oncology Practice, PLoS ONE, and Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. Many of his papers as well as his servant leadership have received national recognition beyond peer-reviewed publication with highlights by NPR, the World Health Organization, ESPN, and numerous other media outlets.
