Middle school girls who attended an Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) event to learn more about science, technology and math (STEM) careers toured the University of Illinois Cancer Center’s giant inflatable colon named CECIL, aka Colon Cancer Education in the Community to Improve Learning. The girls were at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) campus on Saturday, March 25, for a one-day EYH symposium where they engaged in hands-on workshops with volunteers from the Chicago STEM community.
