In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, University of Illinois Cancer Center Deputy Director VK Gadi, MD, PhD, is hosting the second annual “Spin for a Cause” fundraiser on October 27.
Funds raised at the spinning event will benefit research in women’s cancers studied at the Cancer Center, including hard to treat breast and ovarian cancers.
The event will be held at Life Time, 1100 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook, Illinois. It starts at 9:15 a.m. Non-members should email [email protected] to reserve a bike and arrive a few minutes early to sign a guest waiver.
Gadi and spouse Emily Darby, MD, will donate $1,000 for the first 10 participants who make donations of any amount and $2,000 after 30 donations of any amount are reached for a total match of $3,000.
