You’re invited to join a cancer survivor, a former smoker, and a University of Illinois Cancer Center member in a virtual community conversation about smoking cessation and lung health in recognition of the American Cancer Society’s annual “The Great American Smokeout” on Thursday, November 17.

An estimated 30 million U.S. adults smoke, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Panelists at the event include Cancer Center member Ryan Nguyen, DO, a medical oncologist at UI Health. The free event is sponsored by the Cancer Center, the Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative and CONNECTING for Lung Health.
