New Interactive Monitors Installed in Cancer Clinic

The University of Illinois Cancer Center expanded its patient education program by installing interactive video monitors in exam rooms at the cancer clinic in the UI Health Outpatient Care Center.

The new monitors allow patients to view a growing suite of videos. Current videos include:

  • English and Spanish videos explaining clinical trials.
  • A new cancer clinical trials public service announcement.
  • A video highlighting opportunities for students to take part in cancer research summer programs, part of the Cancer Center’s mission to train a diverse workforce.

Other videos will be added, and they will include #CECIL, the Cancer Center’s giant inflatable colon, plus videos showcasing the Cancer Center’s robust community outreach and engagement efforts and research programs.
