Ying Hu, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He joined UIC in 2018. His research builds upon his expertise in nanophotonics, single-molecule and super-resolution imaging, and immunology to develop multiscale imaging tools for probing human immunity. In the Hu laboratory, the immunology research aims to understand how immune cells relay information under physiological and pathological conditions, with the goal of identifying potential therapeutic targets and mechanisms. Their collaborative cancer research is in transcriptional dysregulation in T-cell lymphoma.
