Kiwook Kim, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine at UIC. He joined UIC in 2019. His lab investigates the development and physiological roles of mononuclear phagocytes in steady state as well as pathological conditions, taking advantage of cutting-edge lineage-tracing approaches, cell ablation strategy and in-vivo imaging techniques combined with high throughput transcriptomic analysis. He has research interest in the origins and functions of macrophages in peripheral tissues.
