January 31 is the deadline to apply for a University of Illinois Cancer Center Spring Travel Award. Two awards will be given. Each award provides $500 per trainee to cover the cost of travel and registration to present their cancer-related research at a conference or scientific meeting. Details on eligibility and how to apply are below.

Eligibility
- Students, postdoctoral fellows, and clinical residents/fellows engaged in cancer-related research and mentored by a faculty at the University of Illinois Chicago.
- To be considered, applicants should complete the Cancer Center Trainee Membership form if not done so in the past.
- Applicants must have proof of submission of an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the conference or scientific meeting.
Travel Award Application
Interested students should complete the online application form and submit a recommendation letter from an advisor or mentor. Applications are due at 11:59 PM on the deadline date. Apply here.
Recipients of the awards will be notified after review by the Awards Committee.
Two travel awards also will be given out in the Fall and the deadline to apply is July 31, 2024.
