The Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) selected University of Illinois Cancer Center member Shikha Jain, MD, FACP, as the winner of its 2024 “Physician Leader of the Year” award.
ISMS said Jain, a UI Health medical oncologist, won the award as a result of her “extraordinary leadership contributions to the field of medicine” and her “willingness to go above and beyond to contribute through leadership, education, position, and assistance to help develop leadership talent in peers and others,” as well as her “embodiment of the values of the medical profession through leadership and service to the public and the profession.”
Jain is part of the Cancer Center’s Translational Oncology Research Program.
