In Memoriam

Dominic Ho, MD, PhD, who practiced in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at UI Health and was an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago, has died.

Ho specialized in soft tissue sarcoma, melanoma and urological cancers, and he also treated gastrointestinal cancers. Board certified in hematology, oncology and palliative care, Ho was committed to integrating supportive care in his practice.

“This is how I remember Dominic, a role model of humanity and selflessness, always quiet and never asking anything for himself,” said Damiano Rondelli, MD, Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and a member of the University of Illinois Cancer Center.

Ho attended medical school at the University of Miami and did his residency and fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in the Chicago suburb of Maywood.

A memorial service will be held next week to celebrate his life.
