WVON Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason

National Midwifery Week starts Sunday, Oct. 4, so maternal health and maternity care will be the focus of the University of Illinois Cancer Center and UI Health Mile Square Health Center segment that Sunday on "Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason" on WVON 1690 AM. Tune in live at 10 a.m. to learn more about the role of midwives and obstetrics providers in supporting patients throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
The guests will be Channon M.L. Campbell, CNM, MSN, RN, MPH, a certified nurse midwife at the Mile Square-South Shore clinic, and Karie E. Stewart, MPH, MSN, CNM, APRN, a certified nurse-midwife in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UI Health. The guest co-host is Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, who is the Mile Square Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, a Cancer Center member, and the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Community-Based Practice at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
The Cancer Center and Mile Square segment airs the first Sunday of the month and features guests discussing cancer research and care, as well as general healthcare and services provided at UI Health. The Cancer Center and Mile Square, a Federally Qualified Health Center with a network of clinics in and around Chicago and Rockford, are both part of UI Health, the academic health system at UIC.
