The keynote speaker will be Otis W. Brawley, MD, MACP, FRCP(L), FASCO, FACE, who is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Oncology and Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University and Associate Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Wellness House has a strong partnership with UI Health and the Cancer Center because the organization offers free supportive programs for cancer survivors, their families and caregivers at the Mile Square Health Center, UI Health’s federally qualified health center (FQHC).
The June 14 event will be held at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Faculty/Alumni Lounge, 1853 W. Polk Street, in Chicago. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Cancer health professionals interested in fostering education, collaboration and generating solutions to address local disparities in cancer care are the target audience.
