National Institute on Drug Abuse Diversity Supplement Informational Webinar
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is holding its first annual Diversity Webinar, for potential NIDA Diversity Supplement Scholars and PIs.
Goals of the webinar:
- Inform the scientific community on the purpose of the program
- Provide details regarding eligibility and the application process
- Provide tips for developing a strong application
- Provide examples of successful outcomes
- Provide information on how to learn more for applying
The NIDA mission is to advance science on drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health. NIDA participates in the National Institutes of Health diversity supplement program by funding administrative supplements to selective active NIDA grants in order to improve the diversity of the research workforce by recruiting and supporting students, postdoctorates and eligible investigators from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups demonstrated to be underrepresented in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences.
