Breaking Barriers: 30th Anniversary of the NIH Revitalization Act

The University of Ilinois Chicago Center for Clinical and Translational Science is co-sponsoring “Breaking Barriers, a thought-provoking panel discussion commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 1993 landmark National Institutes of Health (NIH) Revitalization Act, which reshaped the landscape of women’s health research.

Among the panelists is University of Illinois Cancer Center member Shikha Jain, MD, FACP, a UI Health medical oncologist and part of the Cancer Center’s Translational Oncology research program.

About Breaking Barriers

The in-person event will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, from 3 – 5 p.m. at MATTER, 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, #1230, in Chicago. The event also will be livestreamed.

Other co-sponsors are the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute and the Institute for Translational Medicine.
