Amgen Health Equity Summit

Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, Associate Director, Community Outreach and Engagement, UI Cancer Center, Associate Executive Director, Mile Square Health Center UI Health, will be a panelist at Amgen’s 8th Annual Health Equity Summit, on Wednesday, April 28. The virtual event, titled “Disrupting Health Disparities Through Partnership,” will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Watson will take part in The Patient Advocacy Roundtable Discussion, titled “Trailblazing Programs Closing Health Disparity Gaps” to begin at 1:30 p.m. EST and end at 2:15 p.m. EST. The panel will be moderated by Joseph Coe, MPA, director, Education & Digital Strategy, Global Healthy Living Foundation. Joining Watson on the panel will be Richard Allen Williams, MD, FACC, FAHA, FACP, DHL, DSC (Hon.), founder, Association of Black Cardiologists, and clinical professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine; and Tonya Winders, MBA, president and chief executive officer, Allergy & Asthma Network, and president of Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform.
