Dr. Mohamed is a Research Faculty at the Department of Radiation Oncology. His long-term goal is to develop novel bio-imaging-based platforms that allow for biologically modulated adaptive radiation therapy for future personalized radiation therapy applications. This involves the integration of multimodality imaging methodologies, biomarkers identification and characterization, imaging-guided dose-response assessment for tumor and normal tissues, multimodality image registration, adaptive therapy planning, patterns of failure characterization, and oncologic outcomes correlation. Dr. Mohamed published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles in top-internationally recognized journals and contributed significantly in establishing the research infrastructure for multiple successful federal and non-federal grant applications.
