**IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE**
After careful consideration, Komen Chicago has decided to reschedule the 3rd Annual Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference to August 21-22, 2020 due to the current coronavirus/COVID-19 developments and emerging outbreaks. According to the CDC, people who are older (particularly over 70) and people with underlying health conditions, such as chronic lung disease, diabetes, and cancer appear to be at higher risk for major complications from COVID-19. Please continue to check the Komen Chicago web page for the most up to date information.
Join us at the Third Annual Susan G. Komen Chicago Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference and Resource Fair on August 21 & 22, 2020 for the most current information on treatments, research trials, patient support and national issues for metastatic/stage IV breast cancer.
This conference is free to attend, but attendees will need to register.
A poster session will be held on Friday, August 22 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.
POSTER DEADLINE EXTENDED to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 24. Potential topic areas include metastatic breast cancer; survivorship; patient care; clinical oncology; breast cancer sub-types; culturally specific care; palliative care; clinical trials/drug research; epidemiology/risks; outcomes and health service outreach, among others.
The annual Metastatic Breast Cancer conference covers topics such as: the latest in research and treatment, clinical trial participation, improving quality of life, and building a care team. A poster session, health care professional panel and patient panel will be held, as well as several activities related to mental, physical and emotional wellness throughout the breast cancer journey.
