Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. As part of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, UI Health is hosting a lung cancer screening event where you can come and assess your risk for lung cancer.
UI Health lung cancer screening navigators will be on-site at the event to help walk you through the screening process, discuss risk factors, and if applicable, schedule an appointment on the spot. The University of Illinois Cancer Center will be there to provide education on smoking cessation and host a Smoking Cessation Bingo.
One of the leading causes of lung cancer is smoking or having a history of smoking. Smoking cessation program information also will be available.
