Winn CIPP – Robert A. Winn Clinical Investigator Pathway Program


The Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Clinical Investigator Pathway Program (Winn CIPP) offers medical students (current first- to third-year Medical Students from diverse backgrounds) a six-week summer service-learning externship in community-based clinical research sites. The Winn CIPP program is designed to expose students to clinical research, community engagement experiences, and leadership development. Applications are open from November through January.

CECDP – UIC Cancer Education and Career Development Program

The UIC Cancer Education and Career Development Program (CECDP) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) funded T32 program for predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows. Over two decades, CECDP has prepared predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows to be successful, independent investigators and professionals in cancer disparities research.

VBST – Vascular Biology, Signaling, and Therapeutics Training Program

The Vascular Biology, Signaling, and Therapeutics (VBST) Training Program, funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), trains predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows in four interdisciplinary themes:

  1. Angiogenesis & Regeneration
  2. Vascular Signaling
  3. Neurovascular Biology
  4. Vascular Therapeutics
