Community-Based Cancer Screening Programs

Walk In Mammograms

Breast cancer screenings save lives, that’s why we offer walk-in mammograms every weekday at Mile Square Health Center from noon to 4 pm. No appointment is necessary, and financial assistance is available for qualified patients. We provide free breast cancer screening services and patient navigation to under-resourced patients in our community.

Research shows that black and white women have similar rates of breast cancer but black women are more likely to die from the disease. In the Chicago area black women die at disproportionate rates to white women and we’re working on changing that reality.  We have provided free breast cancer screening services to uninsured and underinsured women in all of Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods.
