The University of Illinois Cancer Center wrapped up its successful 2024 CME Series.
Launched in January with a three-part winter CME series, this accredited event finished in June with a two-part summer CME series.
The winter series kicked off January 24 with session focused on advances in diagnosing and managing genitourinary, gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers. The second session January 31 focused on women’s cancer, and the third session February 7 session was about hematologic malignancies.
The summer series started with a first session June 12 focused on lung, head, neck and colorectal cancers, and ended with a second session June 19 focused on breast and genitourinary cancers.
Cancer Center Deputy Director VK Gadi, MD, PhD, was the winter series course chair and Cancer Center member Ryan Nguyen, DO, was the summer series course chair. Both are oncologists at UI Health.
All the sessions were held at Venue SIX10, 610 S. Michigan Avenue, in Chicago’s South Loop.
The series activities were planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The activities were jointly provided by Global Education Group and myMedEd, Inc. Participants earned up to 3 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM per session.
