Cancer Center leadership and staff visited Springfield to share updates with Illinois lawmakers and their staffs last week. We told them about our discovery and translational science, our evidence-based research, how our community outreach and engagement informs equitable clinical trials and screening participation, and how involving our community partners can inform democratized data-driven policies to reduce the state’s cancer health disparities.
