B2B – Bridges to the Baccalaureate

Who can apply: Students at the City Colleges of Chicago who are underrepresented in the biomedical workforce who meet the academic criteria.*

When to apply: Rolling admissions. After admittance to UIC, please send an email.

Program dates: Two years at UIC.  

Program description:  While students complete their undergraduate degree program, they will also participate as biomedical researchers on projects involving cancer biology and/or population health studies with a focus on healthcare disparities. Participating students will receive a monthly stipend. For inquiries about the program, please send emails to [email protected].

*Academic criteria: cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, US Citizen or Permanent Resident, completed at least two courses listed here (Biology 121, Microbiology 233, Biology 209, Biology 295, Chemistry 203, Chemistry 205).
