Burroughs Wellcome Fund funding opportunities that may be of interest to University of Illinois Cancer Center members.
Innovation in Regulatory Science
- Deadline: 02/07/25
- Purpose: The Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF) Innovation in Regulatory Science Award provides up to $500,000 over five years to academic investigators developing new methodologies or innovative approaches in regulatory science that will ultimately inform the regulatory decisions the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and others make. Applications advancing equitable clinical outcomes are strongly encouraged. The BWF welcomes proposals that address FDA priorities, including but not limited to regenerative medicine (including gene therapy), individualized therapeutics and precision medicine, complex innovative trial design, patient-reported outcomes and other clinical outcome assessments. Funds may support a portion of the PI salary, and research costs including equipment, consumable supplies, travel to scientific meetings, and laboratory personnel. PIs are required to devote at least 50% of their time to research-related activities.
