Sage Kim, PhD, is co-leader of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at the University of Illinois Cancer Center and Professor of Health Policy and Administration in the UIC School of Public Health. She joined UIC in 2009. Her research focuses on the effects of incarceration, health disparities and population health. She has examined spatial clusters of environmental hazards in the Chicago area in relation to neighborhood level racial composition, social capital and political participation. She has worked on breast cancer outcomes, examining the relationship between racial residential segregation, access to federally funded care facilities and cancer screening/following outcomes.
