In addition to Nguyen, speakers at the POTB are fellow Cancer Center members Natalie Reizine, MD, and Frank Weinberg, MD, PhD, and Noor Naffakh, PharmD, Clinical Assistant Professor at the UIC College of Pharmacy. Nguyen, Reizine and Weinberg are all physician-scientists and medical oncologists at UI Health.
The program extends the reach and resources of the Cancer Center throughout Illinois and regionally. Our experts review cases from internal and outside clinicians to discuss personalized treatment options based on a patient’s tumor biomarkers. The POTB complements traditional oncology tumor boards and aids clinicians in making clinical care decisions based on the latest research.
Specializing in precision oncology tests like genomic testing with NGS and ctDNA, our POTB team generates a personalized Precision Oncology Report with potential treatment options, including clinical trials, after reviewing a patient’s case. The Cancer Center, UIC and UI Health support the POTB.
