University of Illinois Cancer Center member Dr. Alexandra Naba will be a featured speaker at the University of Illinois Chicago Colleges Against Cancer Relay for Life event to be held virtually on Saturday, April 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Relay for Life is a community-based fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and many other cancer-related institutions, societies and associations. More than 5,000 Relay for Life events take place each year in more than 20 countries.
In addition to Naba, who serves as a faculty advisor to the event, Rafael Perez will tell his story about surviving cancer. Several activities, including cooking demonstrations, painting, and trivia contests, will also be held. Cissy Xiao serves as the Colleges Against Cancer student representative.
