The Mary Kay Foundation Cancer Research Grant: Call for Applications

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Deadline for internal applications is extended to midnight, January 6, 2021.

The Mary Kay Foundation, a funding source for cancer research, is currently accepting applications for innovative grants for translational research for cancers affecting women, including but not limited to ovarian, uterine, breast and/or cervical cancer. Grants will be awarded in the amount of $100,000 over a two-year period.

  • Principal Investigator must be appointed a full-time assistant professor or higher at the time of application submission.

This is a limited submission opportunity and The Mary Kay Foundation will allow only one applicant from the institution. Please review the attached guidelines and if you are interested in being the UI Cancer Center nominee, please submit the following information in a single PDF to Anthony Misiak at by January 6, 2021.

  • Title page – Include title of the project and name(s), project role(s), title(s), department(s) of applicant, and any other key personnel
  • 2-page description of your research proposal, including specific aims.
  • Applicant’s current NIH format biosketch

If selected as the UI Cancer Center Nominee, you will be required to submit the full application to The Mary Kay Foundation by February 5, 2021.
