Rapid Response Research Award – Research to Advance Racial and Indigenous Health Equity
- Full Application Deadline: 05/28/25 2 p.m. CT
- Purpose: The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is accepting proposals for Rapid Response Research grants to support social science-oriented and applied research projects (biomedical, clinical, and bench science projects not eligible) focused on health equity that were previously awarded federal funding but have since had their funding partially or fully rescinded. Preference will be given to projects from early- to mid-career investigators from underrepresented populations. Grants range from $50,000 to $200,000 max for a period of up to two years.

- Purpose: The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation invites proposals that seed new and unconventional ideas that could radically advance health equity for generations to come. Direct healthcare delivery or services, clinical interventions and clinical trials are not eligible. No set grant amount; past grants have been funded in the $250,000 – $500,000 range.

The Advancement team will provide grant development support and handle submissions as awards count toward the Cancer Center’s philanthropic goals.
