UI Health Cancer Center's dedicated faculty and clinicians are committed to understanding the behavior of cancer. Our research translates into the latest screening, prevention and treatment tools, often based on genetic or environmental information that enables a personalized approach to medicine. By organizing into the following four targeted research programs, we facilitate participation of our many dedicated health care providers the foundation participation in clinical trials, seminars and cross-disciplinary collaboration:
- CANCER BIOLOGY
- CANCER TARGETS AND THERAPEUTICS
- CARCINOGENESIS AND CHEMOPREVENTION
- POPULATION HEALTH, BEHAVIOR AND OUTCOMES
These programs envelop the research and clinical strengths of over 250 faculty members, from 11 different colleges and across four campuses, within the University of Illinois. Our Cancer Center proudly reflects an environment of collaboration between our colleges and campuses, which enhances the research we are doing, via exploring routes to cancer that would otherwise not be taken.
