WVON: National Cancer Research Month

May is National Cancer Research Month, and you can still listen to WVON 1690 AM’s “Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason,” when University of Illinois Cancer Center Deputy Director VK Gadi, MD, PhD, was a featured guest.
Gadi, a physician-scientist and dedicated medical oncologist focusing on breast cancer at UI Health, was on the May 3 segment co-hosted by UI Health Mile Square Health Center Executive Director and Cancer Center member Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH. The Cancer Center and Mile Square, a Federally Qualified Health Center with a network of clinics in Chicago and Rockford, are both part of UI Health, the academic health system at the University of Illinois Chicago.
The first Sunday of every month is the Cancer Center and Mile Square segment on "Dr. in the House," where guests discuss cancer research and care, as well as general healthcare and services provided at UI Health.
