UI Health continues to receive national recognition, with one adult specialty earning a national ranking and another earning regional recognition, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2026–2027 Best Hospitals rankings.

The rankings listed the ophthalmology program at No. 16 in the nation and the hospital’s cancer care at No. 5 for both the Chicago metro area and Illinois.

The Cancer Center is part of UI Health, the UIC academic health enterprise.
