Spreading the word about the importance of lung cancer screening is a year-round effort for Neelu Puri, PhD, a member of the University of Illinois Cancer Center’s Translational Oncology Research Program.
However, in November, during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Puri had the opportunity to reach a large audience when she was featured on local TV stations in Rockford, where she conducts research and helps to train the next generation of scientists.
