Join us for an engaging virtual discussion on Tuesday, November 18, about how Illinois’ leading academic cancer centers are driving innovation in tobacco control and lung health. Featured experts include University of Illinois Cancer Center member Frank Weinberg, MD, PhD, who cares for patients with lung cancer at UI Health.
In this webinar, facilitated by the American Cancer Society (ACS), you’ll also hear from other experts at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The event, "Where Academic Innovation Meets Community Determination," will spotlight collaborative strategies, research-driven programs, and community outreach initiatives that are helping Illinoisans quit smoking and breathe easier. Participants will discover how these institutions are shaping a healthier future through evidence-based cessation efforts and impactful public health leadership.
