A trainee member of the University of Illinois Cancer Center and a fourth-year postdoctoral researcher at the UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy, A'Lester Allen, PhD, has become the first UIC postdoc to receive the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award at the Scientific Interface.
Recently featured in UIC Today, he'll use the award to continue his work on how biomolecules in our bodies may help fight cancer. He is part of the lab of Terry Moore, PhD, a member of the Cancer Center and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
