University of Illinois Cancer Center members are thought leaders in cancer research and oncology. “In the News” is an occasional feature highlighting recent media appearances. The Cancer Center is part of the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), and its academic health enterprise, UI Health.

Cancer Center member Shikha Jain, MD, a UI Health medical oncologist, and Aishwarya Tallikar, a fourth-year medical student in the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC, were featured on NBC 5 Chicago on Sept. 18 for the inaugural "National Women in Medicine Day," spearheaded by the nonprofit Jain founded.
