Cancer Center Joins International Group

The University of Illinois Cancer Center has joined the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), the largest and oldest international cancer organization dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer worldwide, with more than 1,100 member organizations across 170 countries.
The Cancer Center, as part of the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), is embedded within an academic environment with a strong and longstanding commitment to global engagement. This includes the Center for Global Health and several World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centers, all of which contribute to advancing global health research and integrating global perspectives into medical research, prevention and care.
Through its UICC membership, the Cancer Center is proud to join leading organizations worldwide in advancing international cancer control efforts.
