The University of Illinois Cancer Center was the grateful beneficiary of two fundraising campaigns in October, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

• A creative event hosted by the UIC Police and held on campus at student centers invited participants to decorate canvas bags for a $5 donation. The initiative raised $769 to support breast cancer research and community programs.
• The Chicago-based clothing brand UNBOUNDED WINNERS launched its Power in Pink collection to support breast cancer awareness and generously donated a portion of its proceeds, totaling $553, to the Cancer Center.
