$6 million gift from Illinois alumnus and philanthropist Tai R. (Terry) Shin to the University of Illinois Foundation

A $6 million gift from Illinois alumnus and philanthropist Tai R. (Terry) Shin will fund a named directorship at the University of Illinois Cancer Center, a named chair at the Cancer Center at Illinois, and support cancer research across the University of Illinois System. Inspired by his family's experience with cancer, Shin's investment will establish new funding opportunities for researchers and strengthen cancer research efforts for years to come.
