The prestigious Chicago Council on Global Affairs highlighted the work of Yamilé Molina, PhD, the University of Illinois Cancer Center Associate Director for Community Outreach and Engagement, in the featured video “Investing in Communities Through Public Health.”
Molina is an alum of the rigorous Emerging Leaders program at the nonpartisan nonprofit organization, which strives to deepen participants’ understanding of global issues and cultivate the skills needed to become global leaders in Chicago.
An Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) School of Public Health, Molina was featured for April’s World Health Day and spoke about engaging the power of every patient.
“My work is really focused on how do we address access while understanding and elevating community strengths,” they said.
