Tamara Hamlish, PhD, is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC. Her primary research focus is modeling cancer patient experience to identify gaps and barriers in care and design interventions tailored to meet the needs of patients, their families and their healthcare providers. She and fellow Cancer Center member Elizabeth Papautsky, PhD, lead Young And A Survivor (YAAS), a project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supporting young women in Chicago living with breast cancer.
